4 things about your mobile phone… very helpfull indeed…

FOUR THINGS YOU PROBABLY NEVER KNEW YOUR MOBILE PHONE COULD DO !!!

There are a few things that can be done in times of grave emergencies…. Your mobile phone can actually be a life saver or an emergency tool for survival. Check out the things that you can do with it:

FIRST
Emergency Services

The Emergency Number worldwide for all Mobile Phones is 112. If you find yourself out of the coverage area of your mobile network and there is an emergency, dial 112 and your mobile will search any existing network in your area to establish the emergency number for you, and interestingly this number 112 can be dialled even if the keypad is locked.

This works on all phones worldwide and is free.

SECOND
Have you locked your keys in the car?

If your car has remote keyless entry? This may come in handy someday.. Good reason to own a cell phone:

If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, call someone at home on their mobile phone from your cell phone.

Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the person at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the mobile phone on their end. Your car will unlock.. Saves someone from having to drive your keys to you. Distance is no object. You could be thousands of miles away,

Editor’s Note: I didn’t believe this when I heard about it! I rang my daughter in Sydney from Perth when we went on holiday. She had the spare car key. We tried it out and it unlocked our car over a mobile phone!’

THIRD
Is your mobile phone battery flat ?

All mobiles have Hidden Battery Power

To activate, press the keys *3370# (remember the asterisk). Do this when the phone is almost dead.
Your mobile will restart in a special way with this new reserve and the instrument will show a 50% increase in battery life.. This reserve will get re-charged when you charge your mobile next time.

This secret is in the fine print in most phone manuals. Most people however skip this information without realising.

FOURTH
How to disable a STOLEN mobile phone?

To check your Mobile phone’s serial number, key in the following digits on your phone: * # 0 6 #

Ensure you put an asterisk BEFORE the #06# sequence.

A 15 digit code will appear on the screen. This number is unique to your handset. Write it down and keep it somewhere safe.

If your phone ever gets stolen, you can phone your service provider and give them this code.

They will then be able to block your handset so even if the thief changes the SIM card, your phone will be totally useless.

You probably won’t get your phone back, but at least you know that whoever stole it can’t use/sell it either. If everybody did this, there would be no point in people stealing mobile phones.
This secret is also in the fine print of most mobile phone manuals. It was created for the very purpose of trying to prevent phones from being stolen.

Also – ATM PIN Number Reversal – Good to Know !!

If you should ever be forced by a robber to withdraw money from an ATM machine, you can notify the police by entering your PIN # in reverse. For example, if your pin number is 1234, then you would put in 4321. The ATM system recognizes that your PIN number is backwards from the ATM card you placed in the machine. The machine will still give you the money you requested, but unknown to the robber, the police will be immediately dispatched to the location.

All ATM’s carry this emergency sequencer by law.

This information was recently broadcast on by Crime Stoppers. It is, however, seldom used as people just don’t know about it.

Please pass this along to everyone.

From Billy Connoly… (must share this)

Hello, my name is Billy and I suffer from guilt for not forwarding 50 billion fucking chain letters sent to me by people who actually believe, if you send them on, a poor six-year-old girl in Scotland with a breast on her forehead will be able to raise enough money to have it removed before her redneck parents sell her to a travelling freak show.

And, do you honestly believe that Bill Gates is going to give $1000 to you, and everyone to whom you send ‘his’ email?

How stupid are we?

Ooooh, looky here! If I scroll down this page and make a wish, I’ll get laid by a model I just happen to run into the next day!

What a bunch of bullshit.

Maybe the evil chain letter leprechauns will come into my house and sodomise me in my sleep for not continuing a chain letter that was started by St Peter in 5AD and brought to this country by midget pilgrim stowaways on the Endeavour.

Fuck ’em!!

If you’re going to forward something, at least send me something mildly amusing.

I’ve seen all the ‘send this to 10 of your closest friends, and this poor, wretched excuse for a human being will somehow receive a nickel from some omniscient being’ forwards about 90 times…. I don’t fucking care.

Show a little intelligence and think about what you’re actually contributing to by sending out these forwards. Chances are, it’s our own unpopularity.

The point being?

If you get some chain letter that’s threatening to leave you shagless or luckless for the rest of your life, delete it.

If it’s funny, send it on.

Don’t piss people off by making them feel guilty about a leper in Botswana with no teeth who has been tied to the arse of a dead elephant for 27 years and whose only salvation is the 5 cents per letter he’ll receive if you forward this email.

Now forward this to everyone you know… Otherwise, tomorrow morning your underwear will turn carnivorous and will consume your genitals.
Have a nice day.

What Do You Have Friends For?

Great tips in this blog…

How friends and family can help to improve your Amazon Ranking will be a reminder today, short before the holiday season starts.  They indeed can help you so much – they even don’t need to buy the book (again). Amazon can give a great book a big boost to “be discovered”.  These little features take only a few seconds, but can make a big difference in your Amazon ranking – and subsequently in the success of your book.

Ask all your acquaintances, friends, family to:.

  • Write a REVIEW of your book.
Even if the book already has lots of reviews already. As more reviews as better for the author and as more potential buyers can see the popularity of the work. Amazon rules are against family members’ reviews.  So ask only the ones with a different name/address for a review. They need an Amazon account and at…

Watching others…

A young couple moves into a new neighbourhoodImage. The next morning while they are eating breakfast, the young woman sees her neighbor hanging the wash outside. “That laundry is not very clean; she doesn’t know how to wash correctly. Perhaps she needs better laundry soap.” Her husband looks on, remaining silent. Every time her neighbor hangs her wash to dry, the young woman makes the same comments. A month later, the woman is surprised to see a nice clean wash on the line and says to her husband: “Look, she’s finally learned how to wash correctly. I wonder who taught her this? ” The husband replies, “I got up early this morning and cleaned our windows.” And so it is with life… What we see when watching others depends on the clarity of the window through which we look

Finance, Savings,

I am becoming incresaingly dissapointed with financial institutuins that claim to look after your future pension money or savings, only to find out that you have lost all your hard earned cash OR a clause that you were not told about comes into play…

I have an elderly freind who has been taken for a ride by a so called well to do financial instituion! BUT it seems that as the policy lapsed, without anyone telling him..his value od the trust is zero??? How on earth can you save money with people and NOT get your money back…

Are all Financial institutions theives in suites? Are there good ones out there?

My freind has lost his entire savings?  Im gobsmacked for him….I will soon post the names of the companies.

Is it legal?Image

Time for us all?

Is it me, or is the world getting busier and the people ,Image follow suite? I have found over the past few months, people see I am ringing them but they switch off because “its only me” they are too busy to chat, The restaurants are full of people cradling their phones..lines of people who use them instead of talking to one another..Its quite comical to watch…

People are becoming increasingly late for meetings, or cancelling at the last minute because “something important came up” arn’t we ALL important? don’t we ALL deserve proper time?

I think maybe if we “stop to smell the roses” from time to time..Our lives would be far richer.

On this day…

Cada dia tenho menos uma letra,
uma boca e a mão para a dizer.
Fui colhendo a noite, palavras surdas,
o silêncio que a morte continua
sob a pele da madrugada.
Cada dia tenho menos um coração,
menos uma noite. Resta-me a memória
