I have never really been bothered by getting as many reviews as I can for my books on Amazon. But I have noticed a strange trend.
The ONE-star review, just the star, no comments, no indication as to why this strange lurker wanted to do this. Indeed if you want others NOT to buy a book, you would say, why? One particular book is a book about the Pendle witches. Maybe it is because they are ultra-religious and do not like this subject.
If it’s not a subject you want to read, you have the freedom NOT to read it.
It is as if they have a superior right to put that star. No comments, no nothing…
Reviews should be about what you have bought, why you like or dislike it… to let the next customer know. Simple.
The internet has undoubtedly given place to these lurkers… They probably haven’t even read the books; they stock the one stars too…
Does anyone else have them? More than likely, with no explanation too.

There are tons of would be fake lurkers everywhere Amazon doesn’t bother they have their money and that’s that.
We need to stop using Amazon as a main outlet. Period!

Amazon are far too powerful. THEIR algorithms are false due to these one star ratings so good books don’t get a look in.

Amazon should have a one star checker which deletes immediately if there is no written review 🤔
