“People always said that I didn’t give up my seat because I was tired, but that isn’t true. I was not tired physically, or no more tired than I usually was at the end of a working day. I was not old, although some people have an image of me as being old then. I was forty-two. No, the only tired I was, was tired of giving in.”

As you will see the caption is misleading… As usual with newspapers that want to sensationalise things just to sell newspapers, NOT because of any sort of justice…
Luke Mitchell was 16 when he was convicted in January 2005 of killing 14-year-old Jodi in woodland close to her home in the Easthouses area of Dalkeith, Midlothian. There was NO evidence, NO DNA other than someone else… And the eager coppers who just wanted to close the case.
But the story behind this was different, a total washout with the police of Dalkeith, needing a suspect, and finding anyone at all to make a scapegoat out of.
Luke said in an interview.
Speaking in the video Luke Mitchell said: “I’ve not spoken out in all this time because every time I’ve tried to speak out I’ve been shouted down and just been called evil, manipulative and twisted.
“I can’t be more clear I absolutely did not kill Jodie and I’ve been locked up for a crime I didn’t commit.
“I will not admit to something I have not done.
“I want to clear my name.”
He and his mum passed a lie detector test. NO others were charged or even interviewed properly.
Jodies Murderer is still out there, still guilty and still should be brought to justice.
Corinne Mitchell is living in her former caravan accessories store after the “knock-on” effects when her son was convicted of killing his girlfriend Jodi Jones. Luke Mitchell was found guilty of murdering Jodi when they were both 14 years old in 2003. There was actually NO evidence whatsoever to convict him. This was a trial by a media frenzy to sell newspapers. The Dalkeith police were bullies and inept.
